Products for Oily Skin (Teenage/Combination)

Natural soaps can be a quiet game‑changer for oily skin, not because they’re trendy, but because their ingredient profiles genuinely support how oily skin behaves.

Our skincare products for oily skin (and teenage/combination skin) are designed to cleanse without drying or adding to the sebum in the skin. The saponified oils in soap lift away excess oil and debris without removing all your skin’s protective moisture, helping reduce rebound oiliness.

Many natural soaps include essential oils that are naturally antimicrobial or anti-inflammatory, such as: Lavender, Rosemary and Lemongrass. These help reduce the bacteria that contribute to breakouts, supporting clearer skin without the harshness of chemical antibacterial agents.

Activated charcoal is also well known for being an excellent product to absorb excess oil on skin, which we use in one of our soaps, and clay face masks are also helpful in reducing oil if used regularly.

Oil is good

Oily skin doesn’t need “oil-free” — it needs the right oils. Ingredients like olive oil and coconut oil, which are gentle, nourishing and non-comedogenic for most people. These help the skin feel clean but comfortable, and over time can support more balanced oil production.

No synthetic fragrances or detergents means less irritation

Oily skin can still be sensitive. Synthetic fragrances, SLS, and preservatives can trigger inflammation, which often leads to more breakouts. Natural soaps avoid these irritants, making them a better fit for skin that’s reactive and oily.

Gentle exfoliation from natural additives

Some natural soaps include: botanicals such as poppy seeds and oatmeal or activated charcoal. Charcoal is especially beneficial as it absorbs excess oil, helps unclog pores, and leaves the skin feeling fresh without over-drying.

Support for the skin barrier

Because natural soaps retain glycerine, a humectant often removed from commercial soaps, they help maintain hydration. A stronger barrier means: less inflammation, fewer breakouts, more balanced oil production over time.
